Project 10 Productions has promoted Shonna Foster to the role of director of development as part of a management restructure.
The Toronto-based prodco behind series such as the CBC comedy Son of a Critch and Prime Video’s The Kids in the Hall revival announced two promotions and two hires within its management team on Thursday (June 15).
Foster will oversee Project 10’s development slate and manage relationships with broadcasters, streamers, agents, and creators, according to a news release. She was previously manager of development and has more than 15 years of experience in creative and business roles at production and distribution companies.
The company has also promoted Shelby Bronstine to associate producer and manager, business affairs. Bronstine, who was formerly manager, business affairs and operations, will represent the company during production, liaising with coproducers, broadcasters, streamers, and distributors as associate producer, and will be responsible for the company’s business affairs and operations.
Vicky Foley, who was acting social media manager on Son of a Critch, joins the company as manager of digital media, and Krista Lazaridis has joined as administrative assistant.
The new management team will be supported by the company’s COO Brandon Davis, added the release.
“With these four dynamic women on board, Project 10 is well positioned to deliver for creators and buyers alike,” said CEO Andrew Barnsley in a statement, noting that the company is heading into “a busy and exciting period of development and production.”
The management rejig comes as the prodco ramps up for the summer shoot of the third season of its comedy Son of a Critch, which is coproduced with Take the Shot Productions in association with Lionsgate and CBC.
The N.L.-shot series was recently acquired by U.S. network the CW and will premiere on July 24. Its third season is being produced in association with the CW. The show’s first season has also been sold to several European broadcasters, and is streaming in the U.K. on Paramount+.
Project 10’s other credits include the revival of The Kids in the Hall, in partnership with Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video for Prime Video, and the three-season CTV series Jann (22 x 30 minutes), which also streams on Crave.
