Showtime’s Vancouver-shot series Yellowjackets has scored second place for overall TV demand in Canada.
The Entertainment One-produced thriller (pictured) was 31.41 times more in demand than the average TV series in Canada for the week of April 3 to April 9, according to Parrot Analytics.
The series, which streams on Crave, is led by an ensemble cast including Christina Ricci and Melanie Lynskey, and depicts the aftermath of a U.S. high school soccer team becoming stranded in the Canadian wilderness following a plane crash. It moved up one spot with a slight increase in demand from the week before.
Disney+’s The Mandalorian held firm to the top spots for both digital originals as well as overall TV demand for the second week in a row with an average of 36.3, up more than a point in demand from the last week.
Pedro Pascal’s other series, HBO’s The Last of Us (24.12) which streams on Crave, continued its downward trend following the conclusion of its first season, slipping more than a point in demand and dropping three more spots to No. 9 on the overall TV chart.
For overall TV, Comedy Central’s South Park fell two places to No. 4 with an average of 28.09, dropping nearly seven points in demand. Meanwhile, NBC’s Saturday Night Live (26) and Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants (24.24) re-entered the overall TV chart at No. 6 and No. 8, respectively.
On the digital side, the rest of the top four also held firm to their ranking from last week despite a drop in demand for each series. Apple TV’s Ted Lasso (28.65) fell nearly two points in demand while also ranking No. 2 for digital originals and No. 3 for overall TV demand. Paramount+’ Star Trek: Picard (24.34), which also streams on Crave, fell almost a point in demand to No. 3 on the digital side and No. 7 for overall TV, while Netflix’s Shadow and Bone was down more than half a point to No. 4 for digital.
Crave original Letterkenny (21.83) moved up a spot to No. 5 on the digital originals charts, upping its demand by more than two points, while Apple TV’s The Problem with Jon Stewart (15.65) rejoined the list at No. 8.

Parrot Analytics calculates its Top 10 lists using Demand Expressions, which are shown by using a metric that demonstrates how much more in-demand the top series are than the average TV show (linear, pay TV, SVOD and AVOD) in Canada. For example, a difference of 1x represents the market average and 10x means a series is 10 times more in demand than the average TV show in this market.
