Jon Stewart burst on the digital originals chart for the first time on the heels of his wide-ranging, viral interview with Oklahoma Republican State Sen. Nathan Dahm.
The Problem with Jon Stewart, Apple TV+’s late-night current affairs television series hosted by Stewart (pictured), entered the digital originals list at No. 8 and was 17.39 times more in demand than the average TV series in Canada for the week of Mar. 6 to 12, according to Parrot Analytics.
The show made a splash on social media this month with clips of Stewart and Dahm debating U.S. bills loosening gun restrictions, including the first anti-red flag gun law in the U.S., among other heated topics.
Pedro Pascal maintained his grip at the top of both charts, with two of his series increasing demand from the week before. Disney+’s Star Wars spinoff The Mandalorian placed No. 1 for digital originals as well as No. 2 for overall TV with an average of 40.67, while post-apocalyptic drama The Last of Us claimed the top spot for overall TV for another week with an average of 43.85.
For overall TV, Comedy Central’s South Park (No. 3, 34.66), Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants (No. 4, 26.38) and NBC’s Saturday Night Live (No. 5, 26.34) rounded out the top five, while the latest season of Japanese anime series Attack On Titan (24.81) moved up three spots to No. 7.
On the digital side, Paramount+’s Star Trek: Picard, which streams on Crave, held on to its No. 2 spot with an average of 25.27, down slightly from the prior week, while Crave original Letterkenny surged to No. 3 with an average of 24.2, up more than five points from last week’s 18.42. Letterkenny was also No. 9 on the overall TV chart.
Netflix’s Stranger Things (21.41) decreased in demand on the digital chart, slipping to No. 4, while Prime Video’s Daisy Jones & The Six upped its demand, jumping three spots to No. 5 with an average of 20.37.

Parrot Analytics calculates its Top 10 lists using Demand Expressions, which are shown by using a metric that demonstrates how much more in-demand the top series are than the average TV show in Canada. For example, a difference of 1x represents the market average and 10x means a series is ten times more in demand than the average TV show in this market.
