Crave greenlights Shoresy for second season

The Letterkenny spinoff will get back on the ice in Sudbury, Ont., in the spring.

Crave has ordered another season of Shoresy, a spinoff of Letterkenny, following its successful debut in spring 2022.

The 6 x 30-minute series is created by Jared Keeso, who stars as the titular foul-mouthed character in addition to serving as writer and executive producer. It is produced by New Metric Media in association with Play Fun Games.

Additional executive producers are Jacob Tierney, who also directs the series, as well as New Metric president Mark Montefiore and Kara Haflidson. Letterkenny actor Kaniehtiio Horn serves as producer.

Season two will go into production in Sudbury, Ont., in the spring, according to a news release from Bell Media. The series follows the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs hockey team in their quest for glory.

Returning cast members include Tasya Teles (The 100), Harlan Blayne Kytwayhat (Prey), Blair Lamora (Paranormal Nightshift), and Keilani Rose (Flimsy).

Shoresy was the “most-watched Canadian series debut” for Crave when it premiered in May 2022, according to Bell Media.

The series is produced with the participation of the Canada Media Fund, the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation and the Bell Fund. New Metric Media is the exclusive sales agent, while WildBrain is the distributor.
