Bell Fibe TV1 has renewed the small-town mockumentary Stittsville on Patrol for a third season.
Casting is underway for the third season of the single-camera, single-character comedy, which is set to begin production in October, according to a news release.
Christopher Redmond is creator, showrunner and producer of the short-form series. He’s also written all episodes and directed most of them. Brian Bauche is the executive producer.
The first two seasons of Stittsville on Patrol took a satirical look at the “underground crime scene” in the Ottawa suburb of Stittsville, such as a “cracked pavement epidemic” and “yellow lawns.”
Season three will see the neighbourhood watch patroller protagonist, played by Ben Milks, “opening up his passenger door” and looking for a partner after “fighting Stitts-villains alone.”
Season one premiered on January 2021 while season two launched last September.
