Toronto-based Antica Productions has struck a strategic content partnership with Postmedia Network that will see Antica shepherding multimedia adaptations of stories from the Canadian media giant’s publishing empire, which includes the National Post, Financial Post and Montreal Gazette.
The partnership will see the companies collaborating on projects derived from Postmedia journalism, with an eye to both factual and scripted film and television productions as well as podcasts (the first of which, True Crime Byline, premieres this week).
Kathleen Goldhar (pictured), Antica’s executive producer of production, will oversee the collaboration, along with Postmedia’s director of audio and video Chris Gallipeau and director of verticals Andrea Hill.
The Postmedia partnership was announced a few months after Antica secured a first-look agreement with the recently launched U.K. factual prodco Telltale via a strategic minority investment.
