Telefilm appoints two new regional film feature executives

Kim Guise is the new Western regional feature film executive, and Anita Damiani is the Quebec regional feature film executive.

kimstudio_rpick-2Telefilm Canada has appointed two new regional film feature executives for the Quebec and Western regions.

As of June 6, Kim Guise (pictured right) will be the Western regional feature film executive for a two-year term. She is a lawyer, business affairs advisor, and production executive with 20 years of experience in the film and television industry, including 10 years as an investment analyst at Telefilm in Vancouver.

Her role consists of supporting emerging talent and contributing to financing decisions for feature films that represent the Western Canadian region. She will report to the English market’s national feature film executive, Mehernaz Lentin. Guise will be based out of the Vancouver office.

anitaa1_3703 (002) (003)Meanwhile, Anita Damiani (pictured left) started in her new role as the Quebec regional feature film executive for the francophone market on April 1 for a five-year term. She reports to the French market’s national feature film executive, Marie-France Godbout.

Damiani is responsible for making funding decisions for feature films that represent the French-language film market to support emerging talent and “show a distinct Quebecois’ point of view,” says a news release. Her previous experience includes roles as a distribution analyst, marketing specialist and lead for the national Theatrical Exhibition Program and French-language documentaries at Telefilm.

Damiani will remain working at the Montreal office.
