Nelvana partners with iconic kids TV creator

Keith Chapman was inspired by his daughter to develop original preschool series Bella's Bro-Bots this fall.

Toronto-based prodco Nelvana has teamed up with PAW Patrol and Bob the Builder creator Keith Chapman  to develop a new animated preschool series called Bella’s Bro-Bots.

The series is based on Chapman’s daughter, according to a release, but additional details about its plot, format and delivery date were unavailable at press time. Nevertheless, Nelvana is seeking broadcast and licensing partners for the show.

Chapman has been creatively prolific in the preschool space over the past few years. In 2020, he teamed up with U.K.-based Studio Liddell and China’s Alpha Group on Camp Furly, as well as with Toonz Media Group to create Paddypaws & Pals. And Netflix has been airing his Spin Master-produced Mighty Express series globally since September 2020.

Nelvana estimates that Chapman’s shows have generated more than $17 billion in global sales to date.
