TVA Group CEO France Lauziere temporarily steps back

Lauziere, who also serves as chief content officer of Quebecor Content, will be away for up to six months due to family reasons.

tva-logo-02TVA head France Lauzière has temporarily taken a step back from her role due to family reasons, according to an announcement from Quebecor Media.

The president and CEO of TVA Group and chief content officer of Quebecor Content will be on leave for up to six months, with Quebecor president and CEO Pierre Karl Péladeau taking over her duties in the interim.

Lauzière has served as president and CEO of Montreal-based TVA Group since 2017, following the retirement of its longtime head Julie Tremblay.

TVA’s most recent financial report showed its fiscal 2020 revenue had fallen by 10.8% due to a decrease in advertising, coming to a total revenue of $508.1 million.

The broadcaster unveiled plans to adapt The Masked Singer for Quebec audiences earlier this year and renewed the ComediHa! adaptation of Brooklyn Nine-Nine for a second season.
