TVA has ordered a second season of the Quebec adaptation of Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Escouade 99, produced by ComediHa! in collaboration with Quebecor Content, went into production in Quebec earlier this month.
Patrick Huard, who helmed the first season, hands over the reins to Patrice Ouimet (District 31, La Soirée Mammouth) for the second season.
Commissioned originally in May 2019, season one of the French-language remake debuted exclusively on Videotron-owned streaming service Club illico in September. The first season will make its linear premiere on the main TVA network on April 6 at 9 p.m.
The Quebecois adaptation, based on the popular NBCUniversal International Formats-owned comedy, stars Mickaël Gouin, Mylène Mackay, Guy Jodoin, Bianca Gervais, Léane Labrèche-Dor, Fayolle Jean Jr., Widemir Normil, Louis Champagne and Jean-Marc Dalphond. Escouade 99 marks the first time that Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been adapted outside of the U.S.
