Boomerang EMEA has picked up Boat Rocker Studios’ new animated preschool series Kingdom Force to air in the U.K., France, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Israel and Africa in spring 2020.
Created by Industrial Brothers’ Matt Fernandes, the 52 x 11-minute series is produced by Toronto-based Industrial Brothers and Boat Rocker Studios, in association with CBC Kids and Radio-Canada. Boat Rocker will also manage global franchise development for the show, including distribution and consumer products.
It was previously announced that Boat Rocker had tapped Mattel’s Fisher-Price as the master toy partner for Kingdom Force. Through the partnership, Fisher-Price collaborated on the development of the show in a bid to maximize the opportunities for the future toy line.
The 3D-animated series targets kids three to six, and will make its world premiere in English Canada on CBC and its free streaming service CBC Gem later this week on December 7, followed by airing on the French channel Radio-Canada in January 2021. It has also been picked up by JY Animation (China) and Nat Geo Kids (Latin America).
Kingdom Force sees five mighty animal heroes serve and protect the citizens of five animal kingdoms, with the help of their giant rescue robot Alpha-Mech.
In September, Disney Junior U.S. picked up Dino Ranch (52 x 11-minute), another CG-animated preschool series produced by Boat Rocker Studios and Industrial Brothers. Also created by Fernandes, the series follows the Cassidy family as they deal with life in a world where dinosaurs still roam the earth. Dino Ranch is set to debut on Disney Junior U.S. in 2021.
