Blue Ant Media brings Love Nature to Taiwan

Blue Ant will work with Portico Media to bring the show to Taiwan after the broadcasting regulator approved the 4K channel to air in the country.

Blue Ant Media is bringing Love Nature, its joint venture 4K channel with Smithsonian Networks, to Taiwan in a deal with sales agent Portico Media.

The National Communications Commission of Taiwan, the country’s broadcasting and telecommunications regulator, has approved the application for Love Nature to air in Taiwan with Portico Media holding the landing license rights. This will mark the first time a 4K natural history channel will air in the country, according to a release from Blue Ant Media.

Love Nature programming headed to Taiwan includes Animals at Play (pictured), Gangs of Lemur Island, Supersenses and Orangutan Jungle School.

Blue Ant has expanded the channel’s international footprint this year. Pay TV operator Sky recently bought the rights to air Love Nature programming in the U.K., Germany and Italy, and Turkcell picked up the rights for its pay TV platform TV+ in Turkey. The channel already has a presence in Asia, with Blue Ant inking three carriage deals in Vietnam, Hong Kong and Indonesia this summer.
