Jenny Hacker (pictured) has been hired as director of programming, while Marlene Lone has joined in the newly created role of director, affiliate marketing.
The new appointments are accompanied by a number of other changes within the company’s directorial team. Meanwhile current manager, information technology Carole Ljuden will now serve as director, information technology, and Craig Miller, manager of operations, is now director, operations.
Hacker will have two key roles at the Edmonton-based company, overseeing the development and production of original Canadian productions, as well as domestic and foreign program acquisitions for three of its four recently rebranded channels Fuse, Heart & Home, and Vault. Among Hacker’s previous roles is senior director, scripted primetime at CBC, where she oversaw development and production of programs including This Hour Has 22 Minutes, Murdoch Mysteries, Heartland, and Mr. D. In her new role as director, affiliate marketing, Lone is responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies with the company’s affiliates under the objective of growing and retaining Super Channel’s subscriber base.
