CBC Arts is hitting the stage with a new digital original production, Off Kilter.
Created and co-written by Alejandro Álvarez Cadilla (Deep Sleep), the eight-part digital series is a mockumentary about a choreographer trying to make a comeback in the world of professional ballet.
Off Kilter is available now to stream on the pubcaster’s website and the CBC TV app. The show will also be released worldwide on CBC Arts YouTube channel starting June 12.
Directed by Clara Altimas (‘Sup Meg) and produced by Priscilla Galvez (Kodachrome), the digital comedy is exec produced by Galvez and Cadilla.
Both co-writers Cadilla and comedian Amy Cunningham star in the series along with Sarah Murphy-Dyson (Working Moms), Zarrin Darnell-Martin (Room), Manuel Rodriguez-Saenz (Caught) and Alyssa Owsiany (Out with Dad). Brendan Saye, Harrison Wynn and Chelsy Meiss from The National Ballet of Canada also star.
Off Kilter was produced with the participation of the IPF.
