Two Vancouver-based talent agencies, Integral Artists and Kirk Talent Agencies, have merged.
Under the merger, which will see both companies working out of a recently renovated office on West 3rd Avenue, both Kirk Talent and Integral will continue to operate under their previous names.
The merged company’s literary and production divisions will be operated by Integral founder Ben C. Silverman, who has also been named as the managing director of the newly created entity. Silverman will continue to work with his team of Dani Elias, Doreen Holmes and Jordan Drage.
The on-camera and voice divisions will be headed up by Kirk Talent founder Lesa Kirk, who will serve as both an agent and an advisor. Kirk’s team consists of agents Candace Fulton, Lyla Rock, and Jen Ainley.
The in-house opportunities for talent packaging made the merger a smart choice, Silverman told Playback Daily, citing the upcoming feature film from director Daniel DiMarco, a client of Integral’s, as an example. The crime thriller, Juggernaut, which goes to camera in two weeks in B.C., will star an actor represented by Kirk Talent, though the identity of the actor has not yet been announced. The feature is produced by Matthew Cervi’s Mad Samurai Productions.
In the future, added Silverman, the two companies may consolidate under the Integral brand name. Though for the time being, both the Integral and Kirk brand names will be kept fully active in the market.
Silverman launched Integral in early 2013 with Nigel Mikoski, while Kirk Talent was founded in 1989.
