Kathleen Phillips, Bill Wood join Mr. D cast

Kathleen Phillips and Bill Wood are joining the Mr. D cast in recurring roles in the fourth season of the series.

Phillips will play a librarian at Xavier Academy, where the series is set, while Wood will take on the role of the teacher of the school. Phillips has previously appeared in a number of CBC series, including Dan for Mayor and The Ron James Show. Wood held a recurring role on Picnicface, a sketch comedy series that aired on The Comedy Network, and appeared in several episodes of Sex and Violence. Other members of the Mr. D cast for the fourth season include series creator Gerry Dee, Jonathan Torrens, Lauren Hammersley, Darrin Rose, Booth Savage, Bette MacDonald and Mark Little.

The series started production on its fourth season earlier this week, and will be shot in various locations in Halifax. The latest season is set to premiere on CBC in winter 2015.

Mr. D is produced by Topsail Productions and Gerard ADHD Entertainment, in association with CBC. Michael Volpe created the series along with Dee.
