Principal photography has started on People Hold On, the feature film directorial debut from Michael Seater that is being shot in Parry Sound, ON.

Seater co-wrote People Hold On with Paula Brancati. Seater and Brancati are also producers on the film, with Christina Jennings, chairman and CEO of Shaftesbury, serving as co-producer.

People Hold On stars Brancati, Katie Boland (Reign), Mazin Elsadig (Degrassi, Stoked), Jonathan Malen (House at the end of the Street, Republic of Doyle), Al Mukadam (Spun Out), Ashley Leggat (Life with Derek, The Good Witch’s Wonder), Noah Reid (Backpackers, Titanic) and Chloe Rose (Hellions, Degrassi).

People Hold On tells the story of a group of childhood friends who reunite in their 20s for weekend reunion at a cottage. The script for People Hold On was based on workshops and rehearsals Brancati and Seater held with the cast before filming started.
