Entertainment One has signed a first look deal with comic book producer IDW Entertainment.

The division of IDW Publishing will partner with eOne to jointly develop, finance and produce TV series based on around 300 original comic book properties.

The tie-up was unveiled by David Ozer, president of IDW Entertainment, and John Morayniss, CEO of eOne Television.

eOne and IDW will fund development of each project with an eye to securing direct-to-series commitments by networks and cable TV channels.

Circle of Confusion, which partnered with IDW Entertainment in 2013, will oversee the creative development and production of all projects.

Circle of Confusion executive produces the AMC series The Walking Dead, with eOne handling international distribution.

IDW Entertainment and eOne will jointly represent the U.S. network sales, and eOne will handle international distribution of programming.
