After TNT replaced HBO/Cinemax as its American broadcaster, the Canada-French coproduced Transporter TV series has been renewed for a second season on The Movie Network and Movie Central.

Canadian indie producer QVF and French producing partner Atlantique Productions are to start filming in Morocco in late February, followed by shoots in the Czech Republic and Toronto.

The series’ second season is set to debut on TMN and Movie Central in late 2014.

Susan Murdoch and Olivier Bibas will produce, with Frank Spotnitz showrunning the second season of Transporter: The Series.

Fred Fuchs will serve as executive producer.

The TV drama is based on the Luc Besson movie franchise, and stars Chris Vance as an ex-soldier and expert driver for-hire.

The first season was shot in Toronto and France.

M6 will air the second season in France.
