Raven Banner takes international rights to Septic Man

Get out the air freshener for a gross-out film about a man trapped in a septic tank.

Genre distributor Raven Banner Entertainment has picked up the international sales rights to Jesse Cook’s Septic Man.

The distribution deal, which excludes Canada and the U.S., follows the Canadian horror film having its world premiere at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas and earning lead Jason Brown the best actor trophy.

Cook directed Septic Man from a screenplay by Tony Burgess, as the film follows a sewage worker who gets trapped inside a septic tank during a water contamination crisis and undergoes a hideous transformation.

The deal was negotiated by Michael Paszt and James Fler for Raven Banner, with Jesse Cook and Matt Wiele on behalf of Foresight Features.

XYZ Films represents North American rights to the film.
