BroadbandTV launches VISO Catalyst web platform

Content creators looking to turn massive YouTube followings into big cheques from ad revenue splits could get the inside track from BroadbandTV’s new companion web platform VISO Catalyst.

The proprietary technology promises creators more views for their video content generating the most searchable key words based on search algorithms, and selecting the most visually appealing thumbnail frames from each video.

Other features include automatically uploading videos at prime viewing times, and customizing alerts about revenue, viewership and subscriber projections and counts.

The intuitive platform, which has launched after beta testing, aims to allow content creators more time to produce video, as they spend less time analyzing traffic to their YouTube sites for better monetization.

VISO Catalyst comes at no cost to existing VISO and TGN partners.

“We have some of the best and brightest minds in our research and engineering labs developing compelling algorithms that can deliver outstanding results at scale for our content providers,” said Mehrdad Fatourechi, BroadbandTV’s chief technology officer, in a statement Thursday.

The development of the VISO Catalyst technology predates Luxembourg-based European entertainment network RTL Group earlier this year taking a 51% stake in Vancouver-based Broadband TV, YouTube’s fourth largest Multi-Channel Network.
