Proper serves up more Come Dine With Me Canada

The Toronto-based indie will produce 80 episodes for the fourth season of the W Network food series, which will travel across Canada and include themed blocks.

W Network has greenlit a fourth season of Proper Television’s Come Dine With Me Canada in a deal with ITV Studios Global Entertainment.

Proper will produce 80 episodes of the half-hour food series, which this season will travel across Canada and include themed blocks.

Fourth season production, which began Apr. 15, will take place in locations including Vancouver, Ottawa, Montreal and St. John’s. The fourth season’s themed weeks will feature, for example, Italian cooking challenges and BBQ fare.

Come Dine With Me Canada, narrated by Jamie Carr, follows five strangers competing to throw the perfect dinner party. After a week of the five competitors wining, dining and entertaining each other, the top rated host or hostess wins a $1000 prize.

The half-hour series is based on the ITV Studios format, which has been produced in 36 territories internationally, including Germany, France and Australia.

The season four deal was brokered by Craig Bohland for ITV Studios Global Entertainment.

Come Dine With Me Canada is produced by Proper Television in association with W Network. Guy O’Sullivan and Amy Hosking are exec producers.

The third season currently airs on W Network on Mondays at 7:30 p.m. with five back-to-back episodes.
