Space, Ztele acquire Cybergeddon

The MIPTV deals bring the Yahoo web drama shot in Hamilton, Ontario to Canadian TV sets (Olivier Martinez in Cybergeddon pictured).

Space has acquired for broadcast the Missy Peregrym and Olivier Martinez-starrer Cybergeddon, the Yahoo web drama from CSI creator Anthony Zuiker that was shot in Hamilton in summer 2012.

Dolphin Digital Media, which has the TV distribution rights to the digital-to-TV long form thriller by director Diego Velasco, also sold the title to Astral Media’s French language specialty channel Ztélé.

Zuiker, Dare to Pass president Matthew Weinberg and Dolphin Digital Studios CEO Bill O’Dowd executive produced the internet portal production, which aired as a series of installments on Yahoo and other digital platforms as webisodes, before being repackaged for broadcast TV.

Toronto-based Aircraft Pictures also worked on the project.

Cybergeddon was packaged by Creative Artists Agency in Los Angeles.
