Big Brother Canada premiere draws 1.4 million viewers

With a special presentation on both Slice and Global Television, the 15 homegrown houseguests reached a total of 3.3 million Canadians.

The debut episode of Big Brother Canada and its 15 Canadian houseguests on both Slice and Global Television on Wednesday night pulled in a total average audience of 1.4 million viewers, Shaw Media reported Thursday.

The Slice audience alone secured a record breaking AMA of 340,000 viewers (A2+), bringing the channel its highest audience ever, according to BBM Canada data.

Big Brother Canada continued Thursday night at 10pm on Slice only, where it will now air three nights a week.

The premiere episode reached 3.3 million viewers on Slice and Global, and 735,000 viewers in the 18-49 demo.
