Toronto-based Canamedia has inked a deal with Toronto and UK-based Starfield Indie to rep four of the prodco’s documentaries worldwide.

The deal, signed at TIFF, will see Canamedia seek non-theatrical distribution for four of Starfields docs and miniseries. Starfield retains theatrical rights in the deal and web rights are shared.

The four properties include documentaries Alien Life, Meltdown and Inside the Fortress Cities (pictured), as well as miniseries Life in the Universe.

Starfield also announced that Canamedia is working with Starfield producers on pre-selling of the prodco’s factual TV slate for 2012.
