The U.S. rights to Jason Eisener’s action film Hobo With a Shotgun has been picked up by Magnolia Pictures’ genre arm Magnet Releasing.

The Canadian indie pic about a vigilante homeless man stars Rutger Hauer, Gregory Smith and Robb Wells.

Hobo was shot earlier this year in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia by producers Rhombus Media, Whizbang Films and Yer Dead Productions.

Alliance Pictures earlier picked up the Canadian rights to Eisener’s picture, which is to bow at Sundance in January.
