Senior CTV execs continue to move up as part of the current management shuffle at the Canadian broadcaster, with the latest promotions coming for Adam Ashton and Dan Cimoroni at the Canada’s Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium.

Ashton, who served as VP of marketing for CTV’s recent coverage of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games, was named Tuesday as the new president of the CTV-Rogers’ coverage of the 2012 Olympic Games from London, England.

And Dan Cimoroni has been promoted to the newly-created post of senior VP, sales and marketing at the broadcast consortium.

They moved up as Keith Pelley moved out of CTV to become head of Rogers Media on September 7.

Ashton’s promotion to the top of Canada’s Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium also came courtesy of Phil King, who last week was promoted to president of sports and vp of programming at CTV after serving as TSN president.

Ashton worked under King for a decade before joining the Olympic broadcast consortium. Still to be named is King’s replacement at TSN.
