1. I was born in Calcutta, India. I came to Canada to attend my sister’s wedding when I was 15 years old and convinced my parents to let me stay. As a parent, I can’t imagine agreeing to that should one of my daughter’s have asked the same of me.

2. I understand Hindi and a number of the Indian dialects and love to see the expression on many a Toronto cab driver’s face when I thank them in Hindi for the ride or comment on the conversation they were having on the cell phone while driving me to my destination.

3. I prefer to see movies at our theaters with other theater guests rather than attend the private industry trade screenings or seeing it in our screening room. This way I can experience exactly what our guests do when they visit our theaters and I stand in line with them for tickets at the box office or popcorn and soft drinks at our concessions. It’s much more fun and it keeps me in touch with our staff and our guests.
