Sullivan still searching for next Anne

The Toronto production has extended its deadline for would-be leads to try out for its Green Gables prequel

Sullivan Entertainment has extended its search for the next Anne Shirley. The Toronto production house — which recently announced it is preparing to shoot a prequel to its Anne of Green Gables franchise — has extended the deadline for would-be leads to submit their auditions until July 27.

So far, over 40 girls aged 10 to 12 have posted auditions on YouTube in hope of becoming the next Anne in Anne of Green Gables: A New Beginning. Votes cast on will help determine which actresses make it to live auditions.

Sullivan is also conducting a cross-Canada talent search during which pre-screened candidates will perform. Hopefuls will audition for casting director Jason Knight in Toronto on July 24 and 26. The prequel is being written, directed and produced by Kevin Sullivan (Magic Flute Diaries).
