Lambur to grow Lenz slate

Kids entertainment veteran looking to build on Nanalan' and Mr. Meaty and add new adult lifestyle shows

Kids entertainment vet Joan Lambur is packing up her five-year-old distribution and licensing company Lambur & Associates and moving in with Toronto’s Lenz Entertainment. In her new post as president of on-screen entertainment, Lambur plans to grow the prodco’s development and distribution slate, which currently includes the preschool puppet series Nanalan’ and tween-skewing Mr. Meaty.

In addition to fielding pitches from creatives and acquiring new series, Lambur will continue overseeing her former company’s portfolio. As for new pickups, she’s interested in animated series and the adult lifestyle programming populating the likes of HGTV, but hasn’t set a quota.

‘I’m not trying to plug any holes; I’m always just looking for good projects,’ she explains. Lambur will also keep a foot in the licensing biz, and is managing all L&M activities for Lenz properties. She says she won’t be cutting individual deals, but will be setting strategies and appointing agents where appropriate.
