Montreal-based commercial production house Jet Films and long-form producer Lux Films have banded together to create a new feature film production entity, Go Films.
The new shop will not replace either of the established companies. Jet and Lux will continue to operate as Go Films ramps up for the production of the feature Karmina ii, the new company’s first project.
Jet president Jacques Langlois and vp Richard Speer have teamed up with Lux president Nicole Robert and film director Gabriel Pelletier in the new venture.
Lux, well known for such film projects as Requiem Pour un Beau Sans-Couer, is currently working on the tv series La Vie, La Vie! and the John L’Ecuyer feature St. Jude.
Langlois and Speer will bring international contacts developed in the advertising business to the new challenge of long-form production.
Pelletier, who directed the original Karmina, adds a producer credit as he embarks on the sequel with Go Films.
