*SCTV to join Comedy lineup

The Comedy Network has landed exclusive Canadian television rights to Canadian sketchcom classic sctv and will begin airing episodes of the show on March 15. The program ran from 1976 to 1983 and spawned 185 30-minute episodes, launching the careers of John Candy, Andrea Martin and Martin Short to name a few.

*Barrett distribs Star Choice equipment

New Brunswick-based Barrett Diversified’s new subsidiary, Barrett Xplore, is managing the sales, distribution and administration of dth provider Star Choice Communications’ equipment.

Star Choice’s master distribution deal with Barrett Diversified sees Xplore assume management of the company’s sales coverage and distribution with all national retailers, power retailers and independent dealers, as well as certain personnel and assets of Star Choice’s established distributors.
