– Raccoons back on CBC

Catalyst Entertainment has sold reruns of the animated children’s series The Raccoons to the cbc for daily broadcast beginning in September.

The Racoons was originally produced in Ottawa by Kevin Gillis, who is now executive vp and executive producer with Catalyst. The cbc was the original broadcaster of the series, which has been sold in over 180 countries worldwide.

Gillis is currently developing Tales From The Longhouse, a half-hour family series cocreated with Larry Mirkin (Fraggle Rock) and Tom Jackson (North of 60) for the cbc and France’s TeleImages.

The Raccoons can also be seen on Teletoon.
