Alliance moves insto distribution of action films

Alliance Communications is moving into distribution of action flicks. Alliance announced it has hired distributor John Fremes and acquired the name of his distribution company, Le Monde.

Le Monde is now a wholly owned division of Alliance that will finance, package, market and distribute feature films in the genres of action, suspense and family entertainment.

Fremes, who formed Le Monde three years ago after leaving SC Entertainment, sold Jalal Merhi’s martial arts feature Operation: Golden Phoenix to Alliance just before signing this deal.

Fremes says he merged with Alliance after it became clear to him that ‘I had to take on more responsibility for office space and personnel.’

‘It’s great for me because the resources here and production knowledge is quite unlimited,’ he says. ‘Alliance has a very strong development team and this is another niche to put product into.’

Fremes says he will start cautiously and plans to finance five pictures in the first year of operations. KM
