Punk Like Me -v2OUTtv is working with exec producers Kevin Fox and Mike Sword to develop author JD Glass’ debut novel Punk Like Me into a TV series.

Set in the ’80s, the book follows the story of an aspiring punk-rock musician whose family makes the difficult financial decision to send her to an elite all-girls Catholic school. While there, she tries to navigate high school, family disputes and learn more about her identity as a lesbian. Fox, who previously served as co-executive producer on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, will pen the adaptation with Glass. All three are executive producers on the series alongside OUTtv. Punk Like Me is expected to land on OUTtv and its streaming service OUTtvGo next year.

In addition to Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Fox’s credits include The Negotiator starring Samuel L. Jackson and courtroom dramedy Queens Supreme. Meanwhile, Sword has previously served as an exec producer on Save to Win and docuseries Legends of the Deep.
