The project stars U.S. actor Cloris Leachman and newcomer Thomas Duplessie, with the latter playing a rookie drag queen torn between his life as a queer artist and the comfortable life he has come to know. Meanwhile, Oscar and Emmy-winning actor and comedian Leachman plays his grandmother Margaret, who is in steep decline but determined to avoid the local nursing home.

Writer/director Connell’s other credits include the short films Survival Guide (2014) and Kissing Drew (2013).
