DHX Media has inked 10 new distribution deals for its underwater adventure series The Deep.

Season three of the show was licensed to CBBC (U.K.), Super RTL (Germany), VRT (Belgium), NRK (Norway), KidsZone (Baltics), S4C (U.K. and Wales), SVT (Sweden) and TVP (Poland), while France Televisions (France) and RTP (Portugal) acquired seasons one and two.

According to DHX the series has now been sold to more than 40 broadcasters and streaming platforms globally. Among those is Netflix, which earlier this year picked up the show’s third season in a worldwide deal. In Canada, it airs on DHX’s Family CHRGD.

The Deep is coproduced by DHX Media (animation, post-production and distribution), Australia’s A Stark Production (scripts, design and music) and Technicolor, which holds the underlying rights to the property.

The animated series follows a brilliant team of underwater explorers, the Nekton family, that are fascinated by the mysterious depths of the ocean. It is based on a graphic novel series created by Tom Taylor.
