The evening saw Catherine Tait (CBC/Radio-Canada) and Valerie Creighton (CMF) among those celebrating the achievements of women in comedy with Ottawa's political crowd.

On Nov. 20, CBC/Radio-Canada and the Canada Media Fund hosted an event dedicated to the women lighting up Canada’s comedy scene, aptly called A Celebration of Women in Comedy. Held at the National Arts Centre in our nation’s capital, the night’s star studded-lineup included Workin’ Moms exec producer and star Catherine Reitman, Kim’s Convenience‘s Jean Yoon and Infoman‘s Chantal Lamarre speak about their careers and what it means to be a woman working in comedy. Guests also had the opportunity to mingle among the likes of the CMF’s Valerie Creighton and Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism, Pablo Rodriguez.
