Encore+, ImagineNative launch Indigenous film collection

The playlist will feature projects from Indigenous filmmakers like Zacharias Kunuk, Michelle Latimer and Alanis Obomsawin.

Alanis Obomsawin_Scott StevensEncore+, a YouTube channel dedicated to streaming Canadian film and TV library content, has partnered with the imagineNative Film + Media Arts Festival on an Indigenous film collection.

The imagineNative Festival Collection on Encore+ will stream a curated selection of Canadian shorts and features from filmmakers like Zacharias Kunuk, Michelle Latimer and Alanis Obomsawin (pictured).

Titles included in the collection include My Legacy by Helen Haig-Brown, Wapawekka by Danis Goulet and File Under Miscellaneous by Jeff Barnaby.

Encore+ was launched in November 2017 by CMF, with support from Google Canada, Bell Media, BroadbandTV and Deluxe Torotno. Telefilm Canada provides financial and promotional support. The imagineNative Festival Collection was made possible with the support of Vtape Distribution.
