Cameras roll on The Eye of U.R.M.

The sci-fi thriller is the latest feature from Metis director Benjamin Ross Hayden and stars Greg Bryk.

Production is underway in Calgary on Metis director Benjamin Ross Hayden’s latest feature film The Eye of U.R.M.

The sci-fi thriller is produced by Metis producer Rene Collins, Wendy Hill-Tout of Voice Pictures and Carolyn McMaster of CHAOS, a Film Company.

The Eye of U.R.M stars Tommie-Amber Pirie (Killjoys) as a researcher at a tech company who becomes entangled in a mysterious murder case following the death of her close colleague. The project also stars Greg Bryk (Mary Kills People, The Handmaid’s Tale),Neil Napier (Helix) and Making Treaty 7 director Michelle Thrush.

The film, which last year received funding via Telefilm, is scheduled for release in 2019. In Canada, Toronto’s levelFILM is distributing the project.

Hayden’s previous feature, The Northlander, won a Rosie Award for screenwriting in 2016. It was distributed in Canada by Raven Banner Entertainment.
