Hulu has acquired the first two seasons of Letterkenny, with the half-hour comedy set to debut on the U.S. streamer on Friday, July 13.

The deal was handled by the show’s international distributor, DHX Media, and producer New Metric Media.

In October, Bell Media announced commissioned another 40 episodes of the series. The production commitment means the series will run to at least 75 episodes. At the time, CraveTV, New Metric and DHX Media said it had recently begun shopping both the series and the format to international buyers.

In addition, a cross-Canada, 26-city live tour based on the show began in February. Letterkenny Live! traveled to cities including Toronto, Ottawa, Sudbury, ON and Halifax and wrapped in Surrey, B.C. on April 6.

Created by Jared Keeso, the series is produced by New Metric Media in partnership with DHX Media and Playfun Games, and in association with Bell Media.

Six new episodes of the series are set to launch on CraveTV on Friday, June 29. As well, a short-form extension of the series has been greenlit for Bell Media’s mobile video app Snackable TV.
