Cameras are rolling in Ontario on Telefilm-funded indie feature Ordinary Days, penned by writer/producer Ramona Barckert (Degrassi: The Next Generation, Wynonna Earp).
The suspense drama, which tells the story of the disappearance of a young college woman from three different perspectives, is directed separately by Jordan Canning (Suck It Up), Kris Booth (At Home by Myself… With You) and Renuka Jeyapalan (Big Girl). Each of the directors helms one of the film’s three chapters.
Produced by Barckert, Meridian Artists’ founder Glenn Cockburn (Y.P.F), Bryce Mitchell (At Home By Myself… With You) and Brian P. Robertson (Sundowners, Diamond Tongues), Ordinary Days stars Jacqueline Byers (Timeless, Roadies), Michael Xavier (Bitten, Deadly Inferno), Torri Higginson (This Life, Dark Matter) and Richard Clarkin (Goon: Last of the Enforcers). Larissa Mair Casting and Associates handled casting for the film.
Produced through Relay Station and Daylight on Mars Pictures, the film is financed through Telefilm Canada’s Feature Film Fund and ACTRA’s Toronto Indie Production program.
Shooting will take place in Toronto, the GTA and Janetville, ON until filming wraps in the middle of November.
