The good news keeps rolling in for Wynonna Earp. The supernatural western from Calgary’s Seven24 Films has found a new home on Spike internationally.
Viacom International Media Networks has picked up the first season of the series, which will air on Spike channels in the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Belgium, the Middle East and Africa.
The multi-territory deal was secured by L.A.-based Dynamic Television.
The 13-episode first season aired on Syfy in the U.S. and CHCH in Canada. Syfy recently renewed the series for a second season, but a Canadian broadcaster has yet to be confirmed.
Wynonna Earp is executive produced by Emily Andras and based on the IDW Publishing comic book series created by Beau Smith. The series is produced by Seven24 Films and distributed internationally by IDW Entertainment. Jordy Randall and Tom Cox of Seven24 also serve as executive producers on the series, alongside producer Brian Dennis.
Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that IDW Entertainment produces Wynonna Earp. IDW holds international distribution rights but does not produce the show. Playback regrets the error.
