Lionsgate taps Ted Bookstaver for alt-programming sales team

Lionsgate's slate of nonfiction programming includes, Monica the Medium on Freeform, Hellevator on GSN and Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian, debuting on E! in 2017.

Ted Bookstaver - HeadshotTed Bookstaver has joined Lionsgate Television as SVP of alternative programming sales.

In the newly created role, Bookstaver will be responsible for licensing Lionsgate’s alternative programming to broadcast, cable and digital platforms worldwide.

Lionsgate has made some investments in its nonfiction business as of late. In November, the company acquired a majority stake in Craig Piligian’s Pilgrim Media Group, the prodco behind Syfy’s Ghost Hunters. Jennifer O’Connell was also brought on in 2015 as EVP of alternative programming.

Bookstaver previously served as VP of international distribution at Dick Clark Productions. Prior to that, he was SVP and Head of Americas at Shine International, where he led the Americas’ sales and acquisition activities. Bookstaver also worked at CBS/King World Productions for eight years, where he oversaw the global licensing, production and programming of game formats like Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!.
