New Metric Media inks first-look deal with DHX Media

Upstart producer New Metric Media has inked a first-look deal with DHX Media, which is looking to get deeper in primetime TV beyond This Hour Has 22 Minutes.
The two-year deal will see DHX Media possibly coproduce scripted series New Metric Media is now developing.
The development slate at New Metric, which is led by Mark Montefiore and Patrick O’Sullivan, includes the half-hour sitcom Letterkenny (pictured), starring 19-2‘s Jared Keeso, and Divorce Party, also a half-hour comedy, both parked at Bell Media. Also on the slate is McMurray, a one-hour murder mystery drama in development with CBC.
CTV earlier cancelled the DHX Media sitcom Satisfaction after one season.
DHX Media is headquartered in Halifax, while New Metric Media is based out of Pinewood Toronto Studios.
