Joey King, Kevin Pollak board Sean Garrity’s Borealis (exclusive)

Teen star Joey King and Kevin Pollak have joined Jonas Chernick as the leads in Sean Garrity’s latest film, Borealis.

King stars in FX’s Fargo, which is shot in Alberta, and Pollak (The Usual Suspects) starred alongside Chernick in the 2005 film Seven Times Lucky.

They join an ensemble cast that includes Cle Bennett, Emily Hampshire and Jake Epstein.

Garrity’s road trip comedy-drama, based on Chernick’s screenplay, is in pre-production in Winnipeg where Borealis will shoot in from Sept. 24 to Oct. 29.

Chernick, Phyllis Laing and Liz Jarvis of Buffalo Gal Pictures will produce. Executive producer credits are shared by Laing, Andrew Hunt, Michael Paszt, James Fler, Kevin Pollak and Mark Gingras, in association with Vigilante Films.

Borealis will be distributed in Canada by Northern Banner.
