Super Channel is opening its doors to offer development financing for feature films, documentaries and TV series.

The pay TV channel set Nov. 29 for the first of three upcoming deadlines for submissions to its Super Channel Development Fund.

“Development support can be key to helping both projects and filmmakers fulfill their potential, and we are so excited to be part of that process” said Marguerite Pigott, Super Channel’s head of creative development.

The latest development coin coming out of Super Channel comes as the network gets set to premiere online the pilot for Darknet, an original Canadian horror anthology series done with Vincenzo Natali and Steve Hoban.

The remaining five episodes will be available exclusively on Super Channel.

And the pay TV channel is debuting on Sept. 12 Andrew Nisker’s Chasing Fortune, a documentary about J.D. Fortune, the former INXS lead singer attempting to restart his rock career.

“The film isn’t about why he blew his opportunity. It’s about how he could come back,” Nisker told Playback about the project.
