Canadian distributor 108 Media Corp. has acquired the worldwide rights to Emmanuel Shirinian’s feature debut It Was You Charlie from A71 Entertainment.

The distribution deal was completed ahead of the film’s world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival.

A71 Entertainment will partner to release the film in Canada and will handle worldwide marketing.

The dark comedy-drama portrays a lonely graveyard shift doorman attempting to reconcile a former life as a sculptor and college art teacher.

The deal was handled by 108 Media’s CEO Abhi Rastogi, Chad Maker of A71 Entertainment and producers David Miller and Darren Portelli.
