Mercury Filmworks has hired former Nelvana executive Marianne Culbert as VP of production.

Replacing Bryan Popowich, Culbert will report to Clint Eland, Mercury Filmworks president, as she oversees the animation studio.

Her credits include executive producing The Comedy Network’s Puppets Who Kill, and It’s a Big Big World for PBS and Sony.

While working as a supervising producer and VP of production with Nelvana, Culbert stick-handled international coproduction projects with Australia, France and Germany in both live-action and animation.
