Amazing Race Canada anchors CTV summer sked

The network is banking on Mondays to draw viewers with The Amazing Race Canada and the debut of new sitcom Satisfaction, to be followed by the returning Anger Management.

CTV on Tuesday unveiled its summer lineup, anchored by upcoming competition reality series The Amazing Race Canada from July 15.

The sked also includes Canuck series Satisfaction, The Listener and Saving Hope.

CTV is mixing comedy and drama on Monday nights as it debuts the sitcom Satisfaction on June 24 at 8 p.m., to be followed by Anger Management at 8: 30 p.m. Satisfaction focuses on a group of friends sharing their relationship woes and personal ambitions. The half-hour comedy stars Ryan Belleville, Luke MacFarlane and Leah Renee and is produced by DHX Media.

The Amazing Race Canada follows at 9 p.m. on Mondays (starting July 15), featuring Canadian teams racing across the country in a high-stakes competition to win $250,000 cash and other prizes.

And new ABC series Mistresses hits the sked at 10 p.m. Mistresses, about the scandalous lives of four girlfriends, stars Alyssa Milano, Jess Macallan, Rochelle Aytes and Yunjin Kim.

So You Think You Can Dance steps onto the airwaves on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. starting June 25 on CTV (with the season premiere on May 14 on CTV Two). Canadian supernatural media drama Saving Hope also returns on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. starting June 25.

The Wednesday night lineup sees The Listener return for its fourth season at 10 p.m. starting May 29. That’s preceded by Masterchef, which joins the lineup at 7 p.m. on May 22 before moving to 8 p.m. on May 29.

And Canuck crime procedural Motive moves to Thursdays at 9 p.m., starting May 23.

U.S. series Hot In Cleveland also returns to the lineup on Sundays at 8 p.m. starting May 26.
